What To Expect When Applying
Apply to one of our cleaning job ads with your resume.
Our office team shortlists your resume based on cleaning experience or transferable skills (for inexperienced applicants).
Our recruitment team calls you for a 10 minute phone interview to discuss basic role requirements and ask initial questions.
We’ll call you to schedule an in-person 1 to 1 interview with your future Team Leader. This will be a 30 minute interview to learn more about you.
Within 24 hours of your in-person interview, we’ll call you to offer the role if successful. We’ll also schedule your 1 hour induction with your Team Leader.
We’ll then send a contract for you to sign. Please be prompt with asking any questions – we expect that you are just as excited to join our team as we are to welcome you onboard!
We cover the cost of your Police Check and NDIS Check. These are required to work with Maid2Match.
Since you will be a permanent employee with Maid2Match, you will need to fill out your employee forms. We’ll get your bank details for your weekly pay, your superannuation fund, and your TFN.

How Does Induction Work?
When you join Maid2Match, you’ll attend an in-person paid induction for 1 hour with your Team Leader. This session will set you up for success as you begin your cleaning career with us.
During induction, you’ll learn:
How our different cleaning services work
How we support NDIS participants and receive NDIS training
How to use and how to reorder chemicals and supplies
How to use the app to track time, services, and travel
How we identify “above the line” behaviours
How 1 on 1 meetings work
CLEANING JOBS WITH NO EXPERIENCE
Training Program: Become A Qualified Professional Cleaner
Maid2Match offers an industry-leading training program. Within several weeks, you can be a fully qualified professional cleaner.
There are many transferable skills in domestic cleaning – this is your chance to bring your previous experience along and discover a career you’ll genuinely enjoy.
When you join Maid2Match as a Trainee, you’ll be paired with a Field Staff Trainer to attend their services and learn the ropes. Once you get the hang of things, you’ll have solo cleaning services.
Week 1 will be spent with your Trainer, then following that you will be doing solo services. Your trainer will check in with phone calls and service visits.
You will have detailed cleaning checklists to refer to as you get the hang of things. We also provide specialised NDIS training.
In just several weeks, you’ll graduate the training program!

SUPPORT FOR OUR PROFESSIONAL CLEANERS
Regular 1 on 1 Meetings
The entire Maid2Match organisation – Field Team and Office Team – utilises regular 1 on 1 meetings with managers in order to guarantee effective and open communication.
As a Field Staff Team Member, you will have a set rhythm for 1 on 1s with your Team Leader.
The meetings are typically held at a local coffee shop that is near your cleaning jobs that day.
Proactively preparing for and reliably attending your 1 on 1 is one of the biggest indicators of success in our company.
It is the best way to stay connected with the wider Maid2Match organisation and ensure you feel heard as a valued team member.
You should come to your 1 on 1 prepared with any questions that aren’t answered day-to-day, feedback or current challenges, and your professional goals.
It’s also a great opportunity to discuss upcoming annual leave requests with your manager.

Is customer service training provided?
Yes, it is! Every new cleaner at Maid2Match completes customer service training during induction and field training sessions. You’ll also have regular 1 on 1 check-ins with your Team Leader, plus feedback from customers, so you’ll always have support to keep building your skills.
Is NDIS training provided?
Yes, we provide NDIS training during induction and ongoing guidance via 1 on 1s. The NDIS community is extremely important to us – Maid2Match has been a registered provider for NDIS cleaning jobs since 2018.
Do I need my own car?
Yes, you’ll need your own reliable car (not shared with friends or family) to travel to cleaning jobs. Maid2Match provides all professional cleaning supplies, so you need to be able to transport them between services. We pay a travel and vehicle allowance.
Is travel time paid?
Yes, travel time is paid between cleaning jobs. It’s tracked within our mobile app to keep things nice and simple for you.
How quickly do I get started in the field?
If you’re available straight away, it will generally only take us a few days to get you up and running. If you need to give a previous employer notice, then we’ll line up your start date to match your availability.
Will I get regular work?
Yes, you will. Maid2Match specialises in ongoing weekly and fortnightly cleaning services, which means you’ll build up a consistent roster of cleaning jobs. We assign the same cleaner to the same home each time. This gives you a predictable schedule, steady income, and the chance to build lasting relationships with your regular clients. It also benefits our customers, who value the trust and familiarity of seeing the same friendly face — creating stability for both you and the homes you support.
Are you LGBTQ+ friendly?

Employee cleaner vs. independent contractor?
At Maid2Match, our cleaners join our team as permanent employees rather than independent contractors. This gives you the security of a steady job with all the benefits that come with employment. You’ll receive paid annual and sick leave, superannuation contributions, and full coverage under our comprehensive insurance. We also provide your uniform and professional cleaning supplies at no cost, so you don’t have to worry about buying your own equipment or managing expenses. In contrast, independent contractors with other cleaning companies are responsible for sorting out their own tax, insurance, and supplies, and can lose work at any time. We believe in building long-term careers, not gig-style arrangements at Maid2Match.
